16.07.2005 Sweden is a new World Champion

Sweden played very controlled and maybe the preassure infront of the almost 3000 spectators was too much for Finland. Sweden won the inline hockey World Championship by beating Finland 4-2.

First 10 minutes was Finland´s attack, but the host team didn´t score though they had two power plays. Czech´s had one efficient attack and Tomas Vak´s slap shot went to goal. Czechs lead after the first period was 1-0.
In the beginning of the second period Finland managed to score twice. First Teemu Virtala tied in front of the goalia. Finland´s lead was made by Karo Koivunen. In the end of the second period Czech´s had their changes when Finland got two penalties, but tha half time result was 2-1 to Finland.
