 Inline World Championship will be played in Finland for the first time. The tournament will be held in Kuopio 9.-16.7. 2005. The first Inline World Championship was played in Minneapolis, United States. Also Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Germany have hosted the tournament.
Finland has played in the finals since 2000. Three times has Finland won and two times Finland came runner-up. Before those medals Finland had also won two times bronze medals.
16 teams and the best players will come to Kuopio this summer. Finlands goal is to win the World Championship. Last year USA beat Finland in the finals, Sweden took the bronze medals. The World Championship will be hosted by KalPa and Inline team Devils in companion with the city of Kuopio and Finnish Ice Hockey Association.
