Host team Finlad didnīt play on monday, but Sweden and USA took their second wins. So did also Germany. USA played against Slovakia and the beginning of the game was not easy to the World Champions. After first period the game was even 2-2.
In the beginning of third period USA raised their skating tempo and scored three times. The result was 8-3 to USA. Also Germany took a win against Slovenia earlier. Slovenia had many good scoring chanses during the game, but they didnīt suceeded. Germany scored even two short-handed goals. At the end of the game also Slovenia managed to score and the final result was reasonable 7-3 win to Germany. Germany and USA will meet on tuesday.
Sweden had an easy game against Austria. In the half time Sweden was already leading 6-1 and the final numbers were 19-1.
Finland and Sweden will meet also on tuesday.
Pool B games didnīt offer any great surprises. Japan has won two games and they beat Namibia 6-3 on monday.
Namibia was playing very well and at the beginning of third period the game was still even 3-3. Also Brasilia has won two games in the same group. On monday Brasilia beat Chinese Taipei 15-0.
In the other group of pool B Great Britain and Hungary has beaten both Portugal and Australia.
On tuesday there will be last eight matches of the preliminary rounds.
