 First 10 minutes was Finland´s attack, but the host team didn´t score though they had two power plays. Czech´s had one efficient attack and Tomas Vak´s slap shot went to goal. Czechs lead after the first period was 1-0.
In the beginning of the second period Finland managed to score twice. First Teemu Virtala tied in front of the goalia. Finland´s lead was made by Karo Koivunen. In the end of the second period Czech´s had their changes when Finland got two penalties, but tha half time result was 2-1 to Finland.Also third period was slightly on Finland´s control, but the period was scoreless. Ales Hemsky in Czech team was always dangerous, but Finnish defence took him very carefully.
In the forth period both goalies were extremely good. Ari Luostarinen and Roman Kousal both took several fine saves. Maybe also the preassure of the game effected to both teams offencive playing.
At last Finland scored when there was less than two minutes remaining the game. Jussi Eloranta scored after Karo Koivunen´s good assistance.
4-1 to Finland was made by Nemo Nokkosmäki when Czech was playing without a goalie.
